SARGA
Large inflatable sea turtle moving in a carnival parade and lit up at night with changing colours.

Sarga is named after the Sargasso Sea and Sargassum algae.

Originally commissioned by Stockton International Riverside Festival, they have bespoke dyed and illustrated fabric which is delicate by day and can change colour by night.

I’ve costumed many a person and production over the years. This time was my first time costuming air.

Sarga needs 1 puppeteers and has the following features:

  • Colour changing lights
  • Dangling seaweed (this can be unclipped and changed for different colour ribbons etc)
