We recently went on a Billy Shiel’s Boat Trip to the Inner Farne islands. You get on the boat at Seahouses and pay a landing fee to the National Trust which gives you an hour on the Inner Farne.
You can’t miss the puffins. Like pigeons in a town centre. They’re up and down out of their burrows and busy going about their business.
Absolutely stacks of them. Close up too.
One day trip felt like a weeks holiday.

We’ve been back on the boat since and all the birds were much more active on the wing the second time. We even got a few pecks to the head off the Terns.
