Description
I was applying ink to the border with a dropper. It must have had a blockage as suddenly a lot squirted out. This is where the name came from. An accidental, rogue bit of excited ink. Since I was illustrating a daisy, it was meant to be.
Incorporating the hat, frills and stitching is a nod to my career as a costume designer. I enjoy adding these details and costumes elements.
We often cut flowers and wrap them in paper. I’ve enjoyed adding the paper wrapping. Its becoming a signature addition across the newer works.
I use a mix of inks, an alchemy of sorts to create the edge effects and include metallics which create shine and lustre.
Avoid placing in direct sunlight.
